whats so confusing Im a linux user that prefers to use his unpirated Windows system cause its more versatile ::)If I have a problem with with Windows I can ring Microsoft if I want to there is no reason for me to hide from them. Linux is good nearer to christmas when there are heaps of viruses about. I bought Mint Linux the other day and ran the Live CD on my Dell and went to SC to try it >:(it was slower as it lacks mouse drivers so you have to use the scroll bars, But its easier to use than Ubuntu. You could say I have a boot in each camp >:(I have a Solaris OS also I am waiting for some Cyrix chips to turn up to use with it. Can you give me a clue as what is confusing you HC

No problems at all with dual boot comp, running Red Hat on it as it seems to be the most compatible with windows.
Used mostly for gaming for the grand kids, but still an efficient internet surfer for the kids.

a wise choice Surfingranny ::)Red Hat has been around for a while and the bugs have had time to be fixed Its my personal preference to have 2 PCs as opposed to a dual-boot cause quite often I use them together by myself or it can be handy for visiters. my boarder usually has a couple of PCs also ;D We are Planning to reformat my XP machine and reinstall XP and install a Desktop Operating System for surfing ;)and theres a 2.8 chip we want to try in the linux box
