The last week or so I have been busy around home….not only with a sick mother....but also making ready for my son who is coming home for a month from the USA…It is two years since I have set eyes on him and that was at his wedding, his wife although she been here before, is not coming this time due to her work load…
My son has been away from NZ for nine years now…he went across to gain a PHD. He was given a scholarship to study there for five years, we lost his Dad half way thru, and three and an half years ago I went across to his Graduation. He is now on a tenure track an assistant Professor of a University and at the end of another three years he will become a Professor. Something I have been told, he is very young to already be achieving over there…
But to have my one and only home for a month… I do not intend to miss one minute of his time in NZ although I think there are a few friends that will be happy to see him without me …lol and I will take a breather…and may drop in then as I have been doing here the last couple of weeks…
So if I am not around for awhile, don’t any of you think for one minute you have driven me away. All going well I will be back…full throttle once my son is winging his way back to his wife…
Stay well Player no more late nights…the rest of you be kind to each other…catch you all later....

Just an add on here....whacked from mowing lawns a lot of growth out there...taking a few minutes out to look in here…. Thankyou folks for the kind words...I have every intention of enjoying my son’s company, we have always been very close and although I had to take a step back when he took a wife we still get along very well...in fact all three of us do.
He emailed me this morning 4am Wednesday...our time...to say he was leaving home about then...that was mid afternoon on his Tuesday...they fly from Little Rock to Denver, onto LA X and then across the Pacific to land in Auckland around 6am Thursday morning...they fly right past Wednesday...it will take him around twenty hours all up...he’s done it before…and so have I.
I am ready as I will ever be for two young men...I do so enjoy talking and listening to them they open up a whole new world to me....very exhilarating, but then my son always was a very exciting young man… Do I sound biased? Guess I do… but not only do I love him unconditionally because he is my son, but I like him very much as a friend too.

Enjoy your special time Swannie, your children are always important I know Granny....he is the only one I have...makes him a very important person in my life....he always was...makes it hard as he has to live his own life...his loyalities are else where now...and without feeling guilty about it....if you get my drift....

I am able to come in for a quick look lads are away visiting friends....so have a few hours to myself....I am not thinking about next week when I need to come back to earth after a wonderful full on three weeks...with my son....It's going to be a hard time getting back to normal, but what the heck, I have had so much fun made so many good memories this last three weeks...and that has been worth it all...so going back to a more normal life, after moving about, eating at strange hours, listening to strange music and watching strange DVD's and long talks…wonderful I am happy.
