Find a river and dig up a mudfish. Raw enough for you?

marinate fish in lemon for about an hour keeping chilled, stirred and covered. Fish will turn opaque white.
Squeeze fish out of lemon juice.
Remove seeds from tomatoes and chop.
Seed and finely chop hot chili.
Add just enough coconut cream and stir again.
Add salt and pepper according to taste.
thats just a basic recipe I use in a hurry.

Pretty much the same as Painting except that I put salt on the cubed fish then add the lemon juice and stand it.
We also put very finely diced onion and also cucumber and green pepper in ours.

Correction according to DH, The lemon AND THE SALT kills any parasites or other nasties.
Sometimes for a change we use red onion instead of white onion.

I find schnapper the best for raw fish also fresh lime juice rather than lemon adds a nice tang to it and i marinate it overnight with the onion and juice drai well season add whatever takes your fancy ,if the fish is fresh and hasnt been frozen I recommend freezing the fish overnight to ensure all parasites are killed.Whilst the marinade should do this its just an added insurance. Bon appetite

Call me a charlatan if you will but I use white vinegar as well as lemon juice....it's more pickled and adds to the taste I think. I also add red capsicum pepper.
