Fry Bread recipe needed ......Post a reply
baebeegirl 16/7/2008 11:25:17 AM hey y'all, I know I asked for one recipe already but now I'm after the all time favourite fry bread. ONLY the one where you have to let rise as a dough first before cooking NOT the cheap version.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated anjewel 16/7/2008 12:10:37 PM 4 Cups of flour 3 Tablespoons of sugar 2 Tablespoons of yeast 1 Ltr of water
Add sugar, water and yeast together, then pour into the flour. Mix into a dough then, leave to rise for 20min. Knead and cut into appropriate sizes. Cook in hot oil till golden brown.
Waireka 16/7/2008 12:11:41 PM Mmmm... Painting 16/7/2008 12:34:53 PM or if you can't wait for yeast to work heres an alternative that replaces yeast with baking powder... keep in mind its about 2 tsp to a cup of flour... tsp = teaspoon ...
Fried Bread - Bushmans Gold Aleera 16/7/2008 1:35:04 PM Also don't get the yeasty taste. Use luke warm milk or a bit of warm water mixed with the milk. It comes out a little fluffier Painting 16/7/2008 1:54:16 PM yep even sometimes beer or lemon fizzy
