Here is a modern tram. On the Melbourne system, these are called "Trams". On overseas systems, they are called "Light Rail Vehicles" or LRV's. There is NO difference!  |

The Puffing Billy Railway, in the Dandenong ranges is linked to the metro system. A day ticket can have you riding both trains and trams, as well as behind Electric, Diesel and Steam!  |

So those were what Aucklands Mayor Robbie was on about...all those years ago...looks to me like a picture would have saved a thousand words...Light rail just doesn't sound as people moving as TRAM's..  |
