How come there is (only) a 6 month limit of statuations(i think it's called) on the electoral declarations law...they can only prosecute for things within the previous 6 months...we don't get that treatment..??...why do politicians get this kid glove treatment...? NZ first had no spending declarations for 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , and can only be called to account for 2007... ...we are all in the wrong game...honestly|

NZ herald today....there is more detail.... www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10530673NZ First has never declared any Spencer Trust donations. The party also breached the law by not declaring a $50,000 Spencer Trust donation in 2005, half of which was Sir Robert's money. Mr Currie said there were Spencer Trust donations in 2006 that should have been declared. These breaches cannot be prosecuted because under old electoral law they had to be investigated within six months. The $80,000 donation falls inside this period as the 2007 return was given to the commission this May. Act MP Rodney Hide yesterday laid a complaint with the police about it.

Don't you just love election time when everything you want them to do is promised.....and then put away for another 3 years until the next election:B(rofl):B(rofl):B...don't know who is the biggest joke...them or us...:S
