It's you is the insulting dumb a$$, not player4u who was only bringing this event to peoples notice.
Any way what is the difference between Para-olympics and Special?and as I asked in my first paragraph,who are you saying is insulted.
The REAL Olympics coverage was boring enough and now we are to be bored even further by a contingent of people taking part in some Politically correct event.

Special olympics is an event held yearly for people with intellectual disabilities
paralympics (not para-olympics) is an event held every 4 years for people with physical disabilities,people with intellectual disabilities can not compete at the paralympics.

Thats correct i did yell and called him a DUMB A$$.because he was incorrect in his posting message saying that the Special Olympics was on,it is not the Special Olympics its the Paralympics. And it clearly says that on the tv coverage.
Grrr it fustrates me!
see my above posting of the differences between the Paralympics and the Special Olympics!
I do not think that any of the athletes who are competing at the Paralympics would like to be called an athlete competing at the Special Olympics.

As with colour...i don't differentiate between handicaps or whatever...i'll just refer to them as people who require some assistance...paralympics...whatever...it is over now , and again...what a credit to China ..
