Anyone else got this chronic skin disease?
mebeija
22/5/2008 7:54:10 PM
Yup. Have had it for 12yrs.
It can be manageable. And sometimes just down right annoying. I have it everywhere and arthritis from it also.
Roughly 80% of those with psoriasis, end up with psoriatic arthritis.

Try the soap, it is from here and is honey and goats milk.

I used to go to the dr's and get cream from him. Never really happy with the creams decided i would try this stuff and have recommended it to other family members who also get psoraisis worse than mine and it cleared there's up alot. Didnt like the amount of steroids that was in the prescription creams which was very off putting for my also another reason why i stopped using them.

M1lady - flax seed is not nearly as potent as other sources of Omega-3. Unless you are vegetarian, consider fish oil, or even emu oil -much more potent, and you don't need to take as much.
Include oily cold sea fish (Salmon etc) in your diet too - nothing better than the real thing!
M1lady

i dont think i could fit an emu into an oil press.... but ill try.
I do like tuna and have it every other week.
IM just really worried about the athritus thingy now =(
Apparently only 2% of people have psoraisis, and they are quite likely to get the athritus thingy. Not what I need, but I fear with my history of inflamed joints I very well may end up getting it.
As long as i get the good drugs like mebeija ill be happy though lol

psoraisis is often linked to excess acid in the body.
Wheat and sugar cause acid in the body. Lemons, despite being acidic actually go akalai in the body so are good to neutralise it.
You can still have "goodies" you just need to counter act them. Everything has a cause and effect, some of us are just not as good at dealing with it.

ok firstly I'm not having a go here, but if you nealy keep blacking out 100 times a day you shouldnt be driving. I black out 6 times in 1 week and got my liscnses taken off me for nearly three months. You dont want to go to jail for manslaughter

Ive been using the cream for ages now, and it just wont go away, in fact i think its getting worse - its spreading, and every little scratch (wich I get a lot of because of the keratosis) is turning into a psoraisis patch.
My elbows, all down my forearms, hands, palms knuckles, spots on back and upper arms, knees,, all down shins and over calves covered in numerous spots =(
someone said stress does this too you as well?
what about diet?
Ive even got dermatitus on my face again, ive only had that once before when i was under extreme stress.....
its like my skin is breaking down...
er help?

psoraisis is often linked to excess acid in the body.
Wheat and sugar cause acid in the body. Lemons, despite being acidic actually go akalai in the body so are good to neutralise it.
You can still have "goodies" you just need to counter act them. Everything has a cause and effect, some of us are just not as good at dealing with it.

I generally survive on bread (from sallies) and fruit and muislie bars and cereal (if I can afford those even)

Try lentils and rice. They are cheap, high in fibre and protein. Mix in a bit of meat or vege to bulk them up.

ok firstly I'm not having a go here, but if you nealy keep blacking out 100 times a day you shouldnt be driving. I black out 6 times in 1 week and got my liscnses taken off me for nearly three months. You dont want to go to jail for manslaughter
