Islamic theology - the facts.

(Prof. Moshe Sharon, 2001 seminar ICEJs, Biblical Christian Zionist congress)
Holy land/Jerusalem sacred to 3 Religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam).
Christians keep a low profile due to attitude of Islam towards Jews & Christians.
According to recent Arab newspapers/radio - Jerusalem holy to Islam. Christians have something to do with it also. It is not at all holy to the Jews (Only since recent times).
Islam until recently (before political Zionism) regarded the Jews as part of the holy land. It regarded Jerusalem as a holy city to the Jews. A 13th Century text likens Jerusalem to the Jews holy city as Mecca is holy to Islam and Multan holy to Hindus.
Material from Jewish sources entered Islamic society, making Jerusalem holy to Islam.
Development of Islamic Theology
Muslims believe it is the religion of revelation as the angel Gabriel revealed himself to Mohammed. Every time Gabriel would meet Mohammed, he would give him a few verses. These verses altogether make up the Koran. As far as Muslims are concerned it is the book of God and every word of it came from the mouth of god.
Koran
* Regarded as word of god that was never created
* Even that (Koran) which is held in hand, is regarded to not have been created
* It was with God forever and ever
* Not same as God but always with God
* Regarded as last of all God's revelation, therefore abrogating all former revelations (bible)
How Muslims regard the bible
Both old and new testaments are regarded holy. Muslims think it was forged by Jews and Christians. Does not represent exactly the book of the bible as it was given to Moses.
Muslims do not understand the difference between the old and new testaments. As far as they are concerned the New Testament is a book of revelation given to Jesus. They do not understand that Jesus is the word of God. There is no differentiation between Moses, Jesus and the prophets.
From this point of view - They regard the old and New Testament as being forged by Jews and bad Christians, or else it would be identical to the Koran. Islam says that - The word of God is one and cannot be different in 3 different books.
We in Christianity know that the word of God is not just the scriptures, it is Jesus Christ himself. Islam has never understood this.
The Koran being the last word of God is regarded as the truest word of God. This abdicates all other writings and the Christian bible. It brings the true message to the world.
Every Muslim tries to learn the Koran by heart. There are some nice things written in it. For prayer/ritual reasons the Koran can only be read in Arabic, no matter what nationality you are or where you are. It is a most unorderly book and very difficult for the western mind to follow.
Comparisons of salvation and end of the world:
Looking at the bible it leads to salvation. The final salvation of Israel or the final salvation of the Jews. The bible sees the true connection. The salvation of Israel and Islam are dependant upon each other. Christianity has taken the idea of salvation and moved it out into the world, through the arm of missionary, to present the Christian message in a different way somehow (according to Islam).
In Judaism the message is national, as is the redemption. It is the religion of a tribe and there is no idea of personal salvation. It is attained through law. In Judaism, no-one asks you what you believe in. The idea of whether you are saved or not doesn't exist. In Judaism - Keep the law and believe in God.
In Christianity the salvation is a personal salvation of justification through faith in Jesus Christ. The arm of mission is needed to reach every person and it does not discriminate against anyone. The idea of Abraham stands behind it as he was justified through his belief. He became right through faith. Islam believes this can happen only in the religion that took the idea of the bible and moved it to the world through the arm of missions.
Everyone has there own idea about personal salvation. Common factor: - Jews, Muslims, Christians believe at the end of this world it's going to be better. Best way to find out about a religion is to find out there vision of the end. All religions are telling us the world is going to come to an end. Scientists also think the world will come to an end but don't know how or when. All religions understand that the end of the world is going to reap times of judgment. The three major religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam), believe that before the end there will be bad times and a lot of suffering. Before the light, a lot of badness. Every religion interprets the judgment in its own way. Before death there are the pangs of death.
Judaism calls it "the pangs of redemption". Suffering and moral deteriation before the end of the world. At the end Judaism sees there people, collected in there small land worshipping God. God is going to create a beautiful world where there is no war. Even the nature of nature is going to change. We will not see ferocity anymore even amongst the animals. Peace is going to be in nature. God is going to change the situation from where evil and good are fighting each other to a situation where evil disappears altogether even from the world of nature. In the middle ages Myonadis disputed this as he found it hard to believe Lions would eat grass all of a sudden. He realized that Isaiah was speaking a parable. It was not real lions but people who behave like lions will become docile, sit down like little lambs and worship God and the world will be beautiful and nice. Judaism looks at the world as a world which is going to be redeemed completely. The redemption of Israel is going to be the redemption of the people of Israel returning to there original position as a holy nation. Not fighting anybody or being fought by anybody. They will be sitting alone in there own little country, doing exactly what God wants them to do (worship him).
Christianity is a very similar world. Second coming of Jesus. The word of God is going to show itself again. We are going to see a lot of peace. The same as the books of the prophets. Christianity accepts both the old and new testaments and knows there is no knew without old. It is impossible to understand any of the words of the apostles without reading the bible, prophets, and psalms which are part of the education of every single Christian. There are many Christians living in the world that are not familiar with the bible.
Yantovism and Muslim ideology
Edward Saheed wrote a book ' Yantovist' in which he said" anybody who isn't Muslim cannot study Islam". A professor answered him by saying: "what would you say if only the Romans can study roman history, only the Greeks can study Greek history, only Jews can study Judaism, only Christians can study Christianity. Of course you would say that this man is out of his mind. Yantovism has become the basis of all. In every American university, every student has to study this book.
Koran being final word of God makes it exclusive.
None of the religions except for Islam is a true religion.
It was once a true religion of the time
Moses was a prophet of God and appears in the Koran.
Jesus was not the word of God, appearing in history in the flesh but was a prophet.
Moses, Jesus good for there time but no good for the world as Mohammed was sent after
Jews did not keep the word of Moses nor Christians the word of Jesus, so God sent Mohammed for last opportunity to be saved.
This brings us back to salvation. As said Judaism and Christianity have there view of the end of the world. Here is the Islamic view of the end of the world.
How Islam views the end of the world
The world is going to be almost over. The world is going to be lost. How? This is regard connected with the Christians of diffusion. Ho do the religions regard there diffusion. The Jews don't want to make anybody else a Jew. There is no mission in Judaism. It's very difficult for anyone to become a Jew. There are so many problems and questions, so much learning and every time they say "Why do you want to become a Jew. Why do you want to come from the frying pan into the boiling pot?” Why should a person become a Jew? Judaism doesn't see it's diffusion in any way. The only thing Jews are dreaming about is to come back to the land at the end of the story. To remain small God's people.
Christianity is a world religion unlike Judaism, which is exclusive. Diffusion here is simple. It is personal salvation through belief and faith. You have to behave properly but it's not to hard to be saved by having faith that Jesus Christ is your savior.
In Islam it's a completely different story. Diffusion of Islam is not personal, nor is it national or collected with people hood. It is very toyable. Idea is that Islamic theology does not have in it free will. From the 10th Century onward there is no free will. There is free and complete destination. Everything has been decided by God from the beginning of the world including the personal faith of everybody. Whether you become Muslim or not is not connected with you. You cannot choose to become a Muslim. It is heard if God has opened your heart and decided that you become a Muslim then you become one. If not then you don't become Muslim. In every prayer everyday the Muslim asks that God will maybe put in the group of those that he regarded the people that should be saved, that they will become Muslims. It is impossible that a person can choose to become a Muslim. The choice is in the hand of God. Yet there is the question of diffusion. So what remains is very important. God rules over the world. True here and there you can find a word about God loving you, being near to you. Basically the idea of God's love and the way we find it in Christianity or in Judaism does not exist at all in the Koran. That God's love was so great he was willing to sacrifice himself in order to save man, is something that you will never find in Islam.
God wants to rule the world. To rule the world means to rule over the territory of the world. For this reason God needs an army and every Muslim is in fact a warrior in the army of God. The war that brings territories under the rule of God. This war cannot end until the end of days. Until all the world becomes Muslim. Not that all people will become Muslim. They cannot, it is impossible. Only those God chooses to become Muslim can become Muslim. One thing can happen. This is that the Islamic law, Islamic rule will be all over the world. This is possible, through the effort of every Muslim. The effort of every person who is in the army of God. This is the meaning of holy world. The world is not just a world but one with a holy concept and idea behind it. The idea is to make the geography/territory of the world Muslim. This means to say Islamic rule, Islamic law, ruling over the world. Under this strong Islamic rule there are those people that are Muslims (the privileged), and those who are non-Muslims.
The world is in fact split by the geographers of Islam into two parts. One part the house of Islam (those already under Islamic rule). The other part the house of war. So we have the home of Islam and the home of war. In effect this is the normal situation of the world until the end of days. In other words Islam sees the world now as in a situation of war. This is the normal condition and territory is sacred. Any territory which has ever become Muslim cannot be de-Islamized because it has already been under the rule of Allah's law. Also any territory which has not become Muslim should become Muslim. This is why territory is so highly important in Islam. If you pay attention in any negotiation between Israel and the Palestinians, the first question asked is "What territory are we going to have?" or "What territory are you going to withdraw from?” You talk world peace and the other side tells you "territory".
As far as Islam is concerned, all the territories that were once inside the Islamic empire that was created from the year 633 onwards are regarded to be Muslim territories, including Spain. In Islamic writing, Spain is regarded as the crown of there empire. This is because it was once under Islamic rule from 711 until 1492. Not all of it but enough for it to be considered an Islamic conquered territory. So it is not only Palestine that is an Islamic occupied territory, Spain is an occupied Islamic territory as well. So now we see how the end of the world is going to look.
How the end of the world is going to look (Islamic view)
The end of the world is going to be Islamic until God's Judgments come. The Islamic law is there. Jews and Christians are the two main bodies that can continue living under Islam because they once had a revelation. Yes it was a forged revelation by Jews and Christians, as the Koran states. They played with the revelation and changed it with there hands. Still it was a revelation, so they can continue living under the rule of Islam. Under the rule of Islam they enjoy a position as a protected people, because Jews and Christians existed from the beginning of Islam and the Islamic empire. There are some conditions, however:-
• Jews and Christians must accept the supreme rule of Islam to continue living under Islamic rule.
• They must not do many things which are described in the law.
• They cannot build churches or synagogs that have not been built with the time of the beginning of Islam
• No church or synagogue can be higher than a mosque
• They must agree that Islam is the highest religion
Opposite church of the nativity there is a mosque built so high it overlooks the church of the nativity. Also opposite the church of the holy sepulture there is a mosque standing which is much higher. This is one idea connected with the superiority of Islam. Based on Mohammed's (or God's if you're Muslim) words in the Koran, that says Islam is superior. Nothing can be superior to Islam as Mohammed said that in the Koran and God sent Mohammed. Mohammed came with the true religion. The religion that is superior to all other religions, even so the Jews and prophets do not like it.
These are two things from Islamic tradition and other from Koran, both speaking about Islamic superiority. This is the basis of Islamic theology as far as Jews and Christians are concerned.
What will happen at the end of days
At the end of days, Jews and Christians are not going to disappear from the world. Mohammed does not speak much about the end of days in the Koran. He says one thing which is very important. He says "at the end of days, Jesus will come again and he is going to be the messiah". In Islam the messiah of Islam is Jesus Christ. He is going to come at the end of days and put everything right. Next to God at the Day of Judgment will be Mohammed. Mohammed will be helping God at the Day of Judgment, in fact creating what is called in Hebron 'Leprotectsia' I.E. protector of the Muslims that come in front of God. If they were not such good Muslims in there lifetime, he will help them to grow over the Day of Judgment. Many of them will reach hell but it will only be for a short time. At the end of the story tradition tells us there is not going to be any Muslim in hell.
Islamic tradition - 3 groups at the end of days. Muslims - who are the saved rulers of the world. There will be Christians but few as most will be Islamized. Those Christians that remain will be exchanged for the Muslims in hell. I.E. you take one Muslim out of hell and put in one Christian. Jews must be eradicated from the surface of the earth.
Most important of all the books of tradition in Islam is not the Koran. Koran is not tradition but tradition helped develop the
Koran a little bit further. There are about 15 different traditions describing these things. At the end of days, tradition tells us Muslims will fight the Jews. Every child learns this in school and should know it. They will kill them wherever they find them. The Jews will hide themselves behind Stones and trees. The stone and tree will say "Ya Muslim, Oh Muslim, there's a Jew behind me, come and kill him". This is because on that day God will give a mouth to the stone and to the tree so the Muslim can find even the last of all Jews and kill him. This appears in the heart of Islamic tradition. War which is not political but based on education, belief and holy scriptures as far as Islam is concerned. This is where we stand as far as the end of the story. Until them we have the normal situation which is HOLY JIHAD (war between Muslims and non-Muslims). War between Islamic territories and non-Islamic territories. This war can never cease. However what happens, because we can't live all the time in war? Are there any laws of peace in Islamic theology? The idea of permanent peace, which everybody speaks about doesn't exist in Islamic theology. There cannot be an end to the Jihad which is the word of God, that is created by man. MAN CANNOT END THE JIHAD, in the same way no man can abrogate the word of God in the Koran. Jihad is the normal situation. Peace is the abnormal situation until the final goal is reached. The final goal is an Islamized world.
The goal and Islamic politics
One is going to read articles in newspapers today that speak about Islamizing Europe & Islamizing America. This is a plan and is done in stages, by infiltrating into these countries and at the end of the story Islamizing them and turning them into the world of Islam (This is not theology but Islamic politics). Theologically speaking, a situation of the end of Jihad is impossible. Why Yasser Arafat would not speak about the ending of the conflict is because it's impossible. The conflict cannot end because of two reasons.
If you end the conflict you accept the situation that a territory that was once Muslim turns to be non-Muslim. Palestine - Islamic territory is what history wanted it to be i.e. Muslim. The establishment of a state of Israel is not just regarded as a usurping of territory but a reversal of theology. It is a theological problem for there to be a Zionist body in a part of the world, in which the territory is already considered Muslim. This problem cannot be solved so easily, it is a very grave problem. Why? This is not just a conflict between Palestinians and Jews. As far as Islam is concerned this is a conflict between God and his enemies. HAMAS, Hezbollah, etc. as far as they are concerned are fighting for God and they are not secular. There is no word for secular in Arabic. The idea of secular doesn't exit in Arabic. When the word had to be translated into Arabic it was a major problem because no Arabic dictionaries had a word for it. So the idea of a secular political movement detached from Islam just doesn't exist.
Islam and the western world
All the time there is great conflict between Islam and the western world. Osama Bin Laden is the epitomy as the torch moving in front of the camp. Anybody who speaks about an end to the conflict is talking nonsense. Israel has been moving politically in a line which is a dead end. There is not going to be an end to the conflict. Nobody is going to agree to it. Not because they don't want it but because they can't.
Because as far as Islam is concerned they are standing in front of God. What if? A possibility of peace. In Islam there is no word for peace. There is a word 'salam' which is translated as peace. This word however does not belong to the rest of the world but refers to a situation in which Muslims do not fight each other. There is a book called War & peace in the law of Islam by Majid Khadduri, which explains this in more depth. The only end to war is where the other side accepts the superiority of Islam. If you accept the superiority of Islamic rule, you are in a situation of peace. They will let you live under Islamic rule which regulates behavior. If you want to live under such rule there is no problem whatsoever, tomorrow morning everything will be fine. You will have to live under Islamic rule till the end of your days and then see what happens with you. This is the only situation where there is a permanent situation of peace. It is connected very well with Islam ruling over the territory.
The other situation is Hoodna - not peace but a ceasefire for an agreed period of time. This is done only when the enemy is too strong to be defeated. The rule of hoodna means, Islam may ceasefire until it has enough forces to destroy the enemy. Note: - Mohammed used this rule after unsuccessfully trying to enter Mecca twice. They agreed to a ceasefire of 10 years, but after 2 years Mohammed had enough forces and did march straight into Mecca. The other side had let there guard down, thinking they had longer and spent the time reveling. Thus, they were completely unprepared for any attack.
Recap and final ideas
So according to Muslims: - Islam is the superior religion. It is a world religion. It will be ruling over the world with an army which is the army of God and a party which is the party of God. Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Osama Bin Laden are all a party of God, according to Islam.
Arab nationalism and Islamic nationalism are the same. The Arab national movement was created by Christians. They hoped that by speaking secularly, they will be saved from the fate of being under Islamic rule. Sadly they were bitterly mistaken. Nowadays everybody living in these Arab nations must speak like Muslims. Every Christian must study the Koran because the Koran is the epitomy, most importantly connected with the Arab genus.
The Final idea connected with territory is once Islamized always Islamized. The holy land was Islamized in 633. The conquest of Syria in Palestine finished in 640 with the falling of Caesarea. Jerusalem fell to Islam in 638. Since then the territory is regarded Islamic. Not only is the territory Islamic but it is also holy - especially Jerusalem. It is the 3rd holy city for Islam after Mecca and Medina.
From 600 onwards, Muslims came to Jerusalem. Found Jews and Christians there. The Christians were entrenched into the city. Beautiful churches, Christian power, beaurocracy and rule. Very few Muslims around. Bit by bit they succeeded in Islamizing Syria and Palestine. The Islamic empire developed. Then when they looked around they saw it was important to make Jerusalem a holy city as well. It was impossible in the heart of Islamic capture; there was a city that was not holy to all Muslims.
Here comes the Koran into the aid. All major figures in the bible are Koranic. Not only Moses and Jesus but Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Joseph etc. Mohammed said every single figure that appeared in the Koran, who was a prophet of God, was a Muslim. So, all of them were Muslim, because there was always Islam there. Even Adam and Noah were Muslim. In this way there can be only one religion. In the Koran the religion of Allah is Islam. Islam does not mean more than the very technical word of monotheism. One Islam became a religion so the idea of Monotheism became an Islamic idea.
So all these people were Muslims. In this way all history was Islamized. So if all the prophets and people of the bible were Muslims, there is only one history. Islamic history. So we have the Islamizing of history via the Koran and the Islamizing of geography via the house of Islam and house of war.
All of these people lived in the holy land and so already Islamized it in there time. Where was David king? Where was Solomon King? Jeruselum. They were Muslims so Jerusalem is Muslim. (A book by a Muslim scholar called "The Islamic history of Jerusalem before Islam explains this". If we are talking about Muslim prophets existing in the bible and in the Koran, and they lived in Jerusalem then Jerusalem is a Muslim city from the past. If Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem then it was an Islamic holy place. It was connected with the Jews at that time but the Jews at that time were also Muslims. Because they did accept the torah of Moses in its Islamic text, before forging it and changing it.
Final stage: - Year 691, Muslim wanted to build of the rock of the temple as a commemorative building. Called the dome of the rock which stands to this very day. It is interesting to read in the 11th Century Islamic writings, why the dome of the rock was built. Some say it was to commemorate the temple of Solomon. There is no mention of Mohammed. The most important thing is that it's standing where the arc of Moses and the temple of Solomon stood. Jews were quite happy about the temple being built. In 715 a mosque was built to the south of it. Tradition appeared that V1 in Sura 17 of the Koran means Jerusalem.
Sura 17 v.1 of the Koran states ‘Praise be he that has taken his servant by night from the holy mosque into the furthest mosque, of which we have blessed.’
It was left to tradition to explain this verse. It developed thus: Who is the servant? Mohammed (Taken by the angel Gabriel). Where is the Holy Mosque – Mecca. Where is the furthest Mosque – Dome of the rock in Jerusalem. So Mohammed was translated from Mecca to the dome of the rock by the angel Gabriel and from there went up to meet God in heaven. This Islamized the geography again. Also Moses was there and all the prophets. Muslims say it was near the western wall. Tradition has it that Abraham said to Mohammed ‘Son, lead us in prayer’. This means that Mohammed was an Eman – Not just a leader in prayer but also the leader of Islam. Abraham is actually saying “Lead all the prophets” and from there he went on to meet God.
This tradition appeared and abrogated all others & placed the rock as the place where Mohammed went to Heaven.
One by one traditions were created: Situation of the movement of history created a tradition where by Jerusalem became an Islamic holy city. This is because Mohammed went from it to meet God & to bring from him the idea of the 5 prayers everyday.
Final Conclusions:
Muslims are proud of this theology.
They take pride in saying “My religion is the true religion”. “My book is true and yours is false”.
World history is Islamic History
Islamic geography is a world geography.
Muslims also believe that the Jews are being brought back to there homeland to make it easy for them to be murdered. So the whole house of Israel can be murdered.
Islam and Salam actually mean war.

The Fundamentalists represent the true voice of Islam as it is written in the Koran. Where in the west we have the freedom to choose what we want to believe in the east there religion is part of there culture. Report this post

Of course it is!!! Up until the 1950's, Jerusalem was in the Islamic country known as Palestine! Thanks to the yanks, the 1950's saw Palestine erased to give Jews a home called Israel! I know some so called "Christian" churches that are more worried about upsetting other religions and keeping there congregations happy than about telling the truth about God and Jesus. They are bound up in religious idolatry. The true church of Jesus Christ is emerging now and we are not religious but free, spirit filled, anointed and moving in signs and wonders. 30/12/2008 7:52:55 PM Islamic Theology & the land of Israel

* It was with God forever and ever

30/12/2008 7:58:48 PM It is important that I mention that the majority of muslims are not aware of what the Koran says and therefore cannot be blamed for what has been taught to them as part of there culture. The Fundamentalists represent the true voice of Islam as it is written in the Koran. Where in the west we have the freedom to choose what we want to believe in the east there religion is part of there culture. Report this post

30/12/2008 8:03:13 PM Silly statement:
According to recent Arab newspapers/radio - Jerusalem holy to Islam.
Of course it is!!! Up until the 1950's, Jerusalem was in the Islamic country known as Palestine! Thanks to the yanks, the 1950's saw Palestine erased to give Jews a home called Israel! The Jewish/Islamic talisman that is Jerusalem dates back to the days of Abraham, author of the Old Testament and the Koran, the book that brought the stories of Moses/Mohamed to the masses Report this post

30/12/2008 10:32:02 PM I've only typed in what the professor said. Why does Islam find the practice of evangelism so offensive. Because of the religious spirit behind it. Do not think that Jesus is being slow to return, he is just giving everyone more time to repent. He is coming soon. Report this post
