At the beach. Arrived yesterday around 1pm. First thing to do was rehydrate - VERY HOT, and a feed. Had lunch and cold drinks in chilly bin ready for us when needed. Unloaded son's trailer of tent and igloo (shaped shelter), got them up, and sent him on his way. The rest of the afternoon was sorting out where everything went, making beds etc. MOTH had a Nana Nap around 5 until 6.30 while I plodded on, then went to Kaiaua (7km away) and bought dinner. (Pretty sure I told him how much I loved him for this) Hot shower, flush toilets and power are a real blessing. Shower last night was awesome, could have blown the pimples of of where ever in 3 seconds flat - but great on the aching back! Early night for some reason.... maybe it had something to do with being up at 5am to bake bread before loading up, travelling an hour to camp and then setting camp up.
Disaster - son took home with him our washing up bowl, along with all the dishes gear!
Today a hurried trip to Thames to buy more.
Catch ya later..... GONE FISHING

Bit of drizzle around this morning, nothing to worry about though. Again a very hot afternoon, plenty of icy cold water being consumed.... Possibility of Grandson joining us later on after work, he is a great kid (18yo) and will do anything he can to help. Is such a hardship being away (NOT)

No wind but a bit due tomorrow, plus a bit of rain if the forecast is right. Sent MOTH out with another camper this morning, needed a bit of a sleep in. Been up and fishing by 6am as it roughs up a bit around 11am or a bit later depending on the tides. There were 8 kayaks out fishing yesterday, saw one getting towed by rather a big fish, at a guess would say stingray........ Very busy weekend, lots of fun ;D Was in bed by 8.30 last night, asleep by 8.31pm Enjoy your work fellow Zambukians, while I am enjoying camping

A bit of rain overnight, didn't get washed out either ;D Wind starting to blow a bit now but we are sheltered by some trees. Either close too or catching our limit daily, all of it being eaten by us and other campers, nice fat snapper.....

Another day in Paradise ;D Rain and wind yesterday so entertained and fed a Swiss tourist biking around NZ on a pushbike for a few hours. Very enjoyable time had by all, email addies swapped and he will call in home on his way back to Auckland to catch plane. Sure do meet interesting people while camping. No fishing yesterday, but had the net out. Good haul of 4 snapper, a sea run trevally, 3 mullet and a dog fish/ sand shark/lemon fish whatever you like to call them. Very tasty treat last night.
