Got up for dawn service at Browns Bay this morning, left home at 5am, usually leaving that early means it's easy to get a park. The roads were packed and more people were waiting to come out of every side street I went past. I managed to find a park pretty quickly by not attempting to get too close to the shopping area and walked 5 minutes to the beach front and found a coffee shop open and selling takeaway coffees ( I shall remember them). The service was moving with the sound of the beach in the background. Once it was over and I looked around I noticed thousands of people had turned up, WOW. The rest of the day has been a quiet one at home recovering from a nasty cold I've for the past week. Taken of the beach just after the service had finished

We were going to go to the Anzac service but instead we changed bedrooms with son, fed up with the neighbors.

Anzac Day. We will remember the heroes of the Australian and New Zealand Aimed Forces. April 25th. Gallipolli Chunuck Bair The Somme Paschendaelle Messines Ypres Flanders Fields Battle of Britain Crete Al Alamein Monte Cassino Guadalcanal Home Guard J-force Malaya Indonesia Korea Vietnam Iraq Afghanistan
They shall not grow old, As we who are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
