I will be at work as usual, as the trucks will still be delivering stock to the shop even though we will be closed till 1pm............. sara and zach will probably head over to Te Puke and attend the 10 o'clock service with Sara's dad ( who fought in WW2)

We will sit back on Friday afternoon with a nice cold beer and toast our fallen hero's as we do every year.
Over here they have "poppy Badges" rather than the lovely poppies "flowers" we have in NZ.
I will think of my granddads and great grandads and thank them for being my heroes.

Oh and a bit of random info for you, it was only a few years ago I discovered that my Grandma married and had 2 children, then her husband went off to war and was killed (WW1) and in those days the family would help out the greiving widow... well it ends up she married his BROTHER (he helped her out a LOT!) so my great aunty and uncle are not only my grandads half brother and sister, they are also his kindof cousins!
Talk about keeping it in the family!

myself and the netball captain (who funnily enough i happened to be deeply in love with at the time) represented Ngongotaha school and laid a wreath during the dawn service...it was exciting being out with my true love (as i thought then) so early in the morning...
